After much delays, discussion and deliberation, the PPP/C has been declared the winner of the March 2, 2020 elections in Guyana, South America.

This morning, there was a debate between government and opposition commissioners of GECOM as to whether the report submitted by Chief Elections Officer, Keith Lowenfield, should be heeded in declaring the March, 2, 2020 elections null and void.

Around 4:30 PM, today, 16th of June, 2020, the historic decision was made in honor of democracy in Guyana, South America. The PPP/C has been declared the winner.

GECOM chairperson, Ms. Claudette Singh, has delivered the final blow in the government versus opposition showdown that started since the fraudulent March 5th declarations in Georgetown, Guyana.

The press release by GECOM reads:

Chief Elections Officer to prepare report in keeping with section 96 of the Representation of the Act, Chapter 1:03, paving the way for official declaration of elections results.
