Last updated: October 27, 2021 at 7:38 amThe mother of 7-year-old Aliyah Williams, who has been a patient of the Georgetown Public Hospital for more than two weeks, is reaching out to the public for help in finding an O+ blood donor since there is a shortage at the blood bank and the child is in dire need of a blood transfusion.
According to the mother of the child, the young girl, Aliyah, was admitted to the Georgetown Public Hospital on the 7th of October, 2021 after she exhibited symptoms of unwellness and they took her to the hospital. The child’s mother, Katrene Alfred, related that she noticed Aliyah appeared extremely pale in complexion. After a month passed and the child remained pallid, Katrene became worried and decided to take Aliyah to the hospital for a medical checkup.
After medical tests were done on the child, it was revealed that Aliyah is extremely poor of blood and her blood count keeps dropping. She was admitted to the hospital and, after one week, Aliyah also started to experience loss of appetite, diarrhea, and vomiting. Nevertheless, Katrene relates that the doctors have not come up with a diagnosis as yet, but the child has been admitted and has been a patient of the hospital over the last several weeks.
