According to reports, the young man was riding his motorcycle last evening (21st of November) when he crashed head-on into a motorcar near to a bridge at Tabatinga, Lethem, Region 9.
19-year-old Alex Ferreira was a popular and jovial young man who had a passion for bikes and was an avid rider. He was a former student of St. Ignatius Secondary.
Team Guyana, South America extends heartfelt condolences to the relatives and friends of Alex Ferreira. We further wish to advise all Guyanese to exercise extreme caution when riding motorcycles.
