Last updated: June 29, 2022 at 14:14 pmA Post Mortem examination conducted on the body of the late Anisa Miguel this morning, Wednesday, 29th of June, 2022, determined the cause of death to be drowning. The Post Mortem was conducted at the Memorial Gardens Funeral Home by Government Pathologist Dr. Nehaul Singh. According to Dr. Nehaul Singh, no injuries or marks of violence were evident on the body.
Anisa Miguel was reported missing on the 17th of June, 2022 by her employer in Region 7. The police were notified and a search operation was activated. However, it wasn’t until the 26th of June, 2022 that her body was found floating face down in the Mazaruni River several miles away from where she was last seen alive.
The body of Anisa Miguel is expected to be transported to Lethem tomorrow, Thursday, 30th of June, 2022 for burial. We will provide more details on the burial and funeral arrangements as it becomes available.
