Amber Andrews to Serve Ministry as Youth Ambassador

Minister of Amerindian Affairs Pauline Sukhai and Permanent Secretary Mr.Ryan Toolsiram today met with Ms. Amber Andrews and her father, Mr.Collin Andrews, at the Ministry of Amerindian Affairs.

The Ministry in a brief release said that it looks forward to working with Ms. Amber Andrews as an Amerindian Women Youth Ambassador to empower young women and girls in Indigenous Communities across Guyana.

Miss Andrews of Region 5 was initially announced as the winner of the recently concluded Amerindian Heritage Pageant but it was later revealed that the tally clerk erred with the Judges’ totals and the crown was eventually awarded to Region 7. The Ministry subsequently apologized to all the delegates especially Miss Andrews.
