Cinderella is the story of a young girl who ran away from a prince at midnight but dropped one of her slippers. The prince was so in love with her that he used the slipper to search the whole kingdom, found her, and married her. Well, we have our own Cinderella story here in Guyana too. But this time, it’s a thief, and he’s being sought to be brought to justice for his crime.

Guyanese Citizen, Roopan Ramotaur made the following post on Facebook today, 29th of December, 2023:

Anyone knows the owner of this slippers between the village of Affiance and Bushlot on the Essequibo Coast? The individual stole 4 ram sheep and 2 ram goat from Mr Roopan Ramotar( Aka. Fowlcock) and leave this slippers in the pen. Happened between 24th and 26th of December at Land of Plenty on the Essequibo Coast. A reward is offered for any information that can lead to finding this culprit.

And yes! This happened in Essequibo, the Cinderella County!

We’d like to appeal to all Guyanese to share this article to make it seen by as many people as possible to help these victims find this Cinderella villain and bring him or her to justice (most likely a him). We must all do our part to fight crime in Guyana and make our beloved country a safe and crime free zone. Here’s your chance.

If you can help to identify the Cinderella thief using these slippers, please contact, Mr. Roopan Ramotaur via his Facebook Page.
