Hot off the Press – From Debt Trap to Economic Powerhouse: Why Guyana’s Wallet is Looking Good
Guyana, a country once burdened by foreign debt, is now racing ahead of the world in the quest for financial freedom. Guyana’s debt to GDP ratio is now so low that the IMF upgraded its status to “low risk” in 2025. Guyana’s National Resource Fund has far surpassed its foreign debt and the debt to GDP ratio plummeted all the way down to less than 10%.
