Fugitive Wanted for Murder Downs Self on Facebook Live

In a remarkable story of poetic justice, a fugitive on the run for murder blew out his brain on a Facebook Live video for the world to see. Jamol (or Jamal) Bourne, AKA Skinny, was a known Guyanese “bad man” who was wanted by the police for the murder of a young man in 2024. Eluding capture, Bourne stayed below the radar for years while walking in plain sight. Was he hiding out in Guyana or did he flee the country. No one knew, and Bourne seemed to be always one step ahead of the law.

During his time on the run, Bourne regularly posted social media videos brandishing firearms and other weapons. One time, he posted a bag full of money leading to speculation that he robbed someone of the bag and money at gunpoint. Certainly, Bourne wasn’t employed, so how did he manage to lead such a glamorous lifestyle on social media? While on the run, Jamol Bourne also wounded another youth during a fight at the Stabroek Market Square, yet police failed to capture him.

At one point, the notorious criminal reached out to a popular news outlet known as Big Smith News Watch to plead his innocence to the public, denying all allegations against him.

Moments before he downed himself, Bourne, along with his ghetto companions, made the Facebook Live video posted below brandishing weapons and tantalizing with gestures. It is the same weapon that he would later turn on himself. Apparently, he was both intoxicated and on drugs.

On January 18, 2026, Jamol Bourne was seen toying with a pistol on a Facebook Live. He pointed it to his head playfully several times and teased pulling the trigger. Then he cleared the chamber, removed what he thought was the last bullet, and pointed the weapon to his head and pulled the trigger. The gun went off and the bullet pierced into the right side of his head, into his brain, killing him perhaps instantly. He didn’t expect that one round was still left in the gun. He fell onto the lap of his companion.

Immediately, his companion sprang up and ran forward, hitting the phone recording the Live onto the floor. He started to panic and alerted the others in the house. Subsequently, there arose heavy screaming and wailing. Someone could be heard shouting “mannnooo!!” Then the Live Video was cut.

But did Jamol Bourne really did take himself out on Live Facebook Video? Or was it all an act, an elaborate hoax? Bourne had reportedly attempted to stage his death in the past. He is a wanted man after all. Faking his death would make sense. It could cause police to archive his case and cease pursuit. For days, there were no reports of any dead body.

But of course, that is natural. One wouldn’t expect his criminal friends to take his body to a funeral home or to report to the matter to the police because they would be arrested and charged too! They would be charged for harboring a fugitive, possession of illegal firearms, and further, they would be investigated for other crimes. After all, they seemed like a den of thieves and murderers. They would opt instead to dispose of the body quietly, and that’s exactly what they did!

Around January 21st, 2026, police received information that a burnt body was seen near to a creek at Linden. Aided by sniffer dogs, the police zoomed in and found the charred and broken remains of what is believed to be the body of Jamol Bournes. Tracing away to a wooden house in a remote location, the police arrested six persons. They gave confession statements that they burnt Bourne’s body, and seeing the next day that it wasn’t entirely destroyed, they transported it to a nearby creek and dumped it.

The family of Bourne’s alleged victim, whom he allegedly killed in cold blood, told this publication that they “got down on their knees every morning at 3:00 AM and prayed for justice to be served” and that they are happy that justice was served. Bourne wasn’t caught by the police, but he was trapped in his own net. He died at his own hand, taking the thrash out at a time when he least expected it.

Six persons were jointly charged with Failing to Report an Unnatural Death, contrary to Section 39 of the Coroner’s Act, Chapter 4:03, in relation to a matter which occurred on Sunday January 18, 2025.

The accused were arrested on Tuesday January 20, 2026 and charged on Monday January 26, 2026.

They are:

1. Shiloh Nurse, 26, of Church Street, Stanleytown, West Bank Demerara.

2. Yashua Angoy, 20, of Second Street, Kaneville, East Bank Demerara.

3. A 17-year-old male of Yarrowkabra, Linden Highway.

4. Tyron Gill, called “Ace,” 21, of North Ruimveldt, Georgetown.

5. Latana Rambharrat, 18, of Belle West, West Bank Demerara.

6. Sasha Lyken, 21, of Samatta Point Grove, East Bank Demerara.

On Monday January 26, 2026, the defendants appeared at the Linden Magistrate’s Court before Her Worship Ms. Rushell Liverpool, where the charge was read to them separately. All pleaded guilty and were each fined $9,750 Guyana currency, with the exception of the 17-year-old, who was sent away.
