Just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, it does. Rupununi Rodeo 2026 was lauded as the best in history with added performances, fanfare, infrastructure, and glamour.

President of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana, who attended this year’s Rodeo, commented, “I am extremely impressed by the tremendous growth of the Rupununi Rodeo and what it now represents for tourism in Region Nine.”

From humble cattle ranching activities in the 70s, the Rodeo evolved into one of Guyana’s biggest tourist attractions. This electrifying tourism product serves as a unifying thread that binds people from all creeds, cultures, and walks of life, and from across the country and the world over, into one spectacular, fun-loving crowd.

As the organizers of the Rodeo continue to push boundaries, Rodeo 2027 is anticipated to be even better. So, if you missed this year, buckle up for next year. Remember that hotels are booked months in advance. See you on the wild side!
Rodeo King and Queen 2026
Aside from the Rodeo Pageant which crowns a King and Queen on stage, a Rodeo King and Queen are selected based on outstanding performances on the ground. This year, cowboy Brian Tilokee of Pork Ranch won the Rodeo King 2026 crown while Ms. Kimberly Kenyon was crowned Rodeo Queen 2026. Because of her outstanding performances, Ms. Kenyon has held the Rodeo Queen title for several consecutive years.
