A serious accident took place at Bachelor’s Adventure on the East Coast of Demerara, Region 4, Guyana today, 10th of May, 2026 at around 3:45 PM. Eyewitnesses on the scene said that a black Honda Navi compact automatic motorcycle being driven at a high speed crashed into the back of car resulting in life-threatening injuries to the motorcyclist. At the time, the road was wet due to rainfall.

The driver of the motorcar said he heard what sounded like an explosion as his car was rocked by the impact. At first, he wondered if one of his tires had blown out, but he quickly realized that he was impacted from the back by a motorcycle traveling at a high speed. The impact damaged the back of the car significantly resulting in need for costly repairs. The driver of the car quickly put on his hazard lights and stepped out to assess the damage.

The motorcyclist lay on the ground with a severe laceration to the back of his head, his arms and legs sprawled outwards. Thankfully, it appears that he had not broken any bones, although we did not get a statement from the hospital regarding this as yet. For about ten minutes, the victim lay on the ground motionless, then, as he appeared to regain consciousness, he lifted his head and started to vomit blood suggesting that the impact caused internal bleeding in addition to the deep laceration to the back of his head.

Despite the congested Region 4 traffic, the Enmore Hospital ambulance arrived in less than 15 minutes. The injured man, who appeared to have lost consciousness for about ten minutes, raised his head and started hurling expletives at persons trying to assist him onto the stretcher. He told them to “leave him on the road” and that the “wanted to die.” However, public-spirited persons assisted in restraining him so he could be strapped to the stretcher and placed in the ambulance.

The injured man appeared to be heavily intoxicated. He was also not wearing a helmet. He was described as a man of indigenous descent very likely in his 20s. Some eyewitnesses said that his name is “Kristoff” or “Travis” although we did not get a confirmation from the police as yet.
